This sweet and salty Quebecois spice blend was an accidental creation by a Northern Canadian trapper, who, legend has it, dropped his salt cellar directly into his maple syrup pot. Not wanting to waste either ingredient, he continued to season his dried bison meat, and the rest is epicurean history.

Use as a finishing spice on any savory dish. Perfect on salmon!

Trappers Spice Blend is Amazing!

I was in NYC and went into Sullivan Street.
I wasn’t in the market as I was on holiday.
Was intrigued by the sound of this blend and the lady serving us said her colleague loved it on baked salmon! I got a couple of ounces and once home, tried it out and I am SOLD on this stuff! Sprinkled over salmon before baking is a must now. I ordered 4oz this time and will make sure to keep it in my pantry at all times!
Great on Avocados, bagels, acorn squash etc etc! The hint of Maple is perfect.
